Your dentist assesses the tooth, the size of the damaged area and your bite. If a filling is suitable, the tooth is prepared, composite is placed and the shape and bite are checked. A larger or weaker tooth may need another approach.

WHAT TO KNOW.
Not every painful tooth needs a filling, and not every old filling needs replacing. Diagnosis and the remaining structure guide the choice. Sensitivity or a bite that feels wrong after treatment deserves a call to the team.

Your assessment confirms suitability, the teeth or treatment involved, and the complete fee. Additional investigations, procedures and ongoing care are explained in your written estimate.
New-patient examination £135. Cosmetic, Invisalign and implant consultations are complimentary with an examination. When you proceed with an agreed treatment plan, the examination amount paid is credited once; the treatment deposit is 15% of the remaining balance.

Should I replace my old metal fillings?
Not automatically. We weigh the condition of each filling and tooth against the risks of replacing it.
Is every filling £225?
No. That is the starting fee. Size, tooth and complexity affect your estimate.
What if a filling is not enough?
Your dentist explains other restorations, such as a crown, where clinically appropriate.
